Sr. High Mission Week is a Success!

July 24, 2018 in Youth

In June of 2018 the Diocesan Sr. High Mission Week was again in the Calumet Episcopal Ministry Partnership (CEMP) area. Mission work included painting and gardening at St. Timothy's, Griffith and St. Barnabas, Gary and in serving two days at Symphony Retirement Resort in Dyer, IN.

At Symphony, we met some wonderful people, shared stories, played Bingo, painted fingernails, sang songs, did jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed an abundance of fellowship.

Friday was spent at Deep River Water Park for a day of refreshment.

The evenings were spent: walking the Stations of the Cross in St. John, Indiana; playing games and enjoying fellowship at the Frank's home; and with a Holy Eucharist in a beautiful garden. Serving God and community can be done in your own back yard!  Encourage the Sr. High Youth in your faith community to consider attending next year!
