Advent and Christmas Resources 2018

November 17, 2018

The Episcopal Church has released new Advent resources for congregations, dioceses, and communities of faith. All are available here.

Journeying the Way of Love Advent curriculum and Advent calendar
(available in English and Spanish)

A new, four-week Advent curriculum and Advent calendar pegged to readings and themes from the first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke.

Preparing to Become Beloved Community Advent curriculum
(available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole)

This Advent curriculum is framed around the four quadrants of the labyrinth. Groups are invited to “walk” sections of the labyrinth each week in Advent, engaging in scripture, reflections, and activities.

#AdventWord

This popular Advent practice returns in 2018. Sign up to receive a daily word to use as a focus for your prayer and an invitation to share online. Find #AdventWord here.

Sermons for Advent and Christmas
(available in English and Spanish)

A compilation of Advent and Christmas sermons from some of the best preachers in the Episcopal Church. Whether you use this book for private devotionals and inspiration, small group study, or reading from the pulpit, we pray that you will find this holy season brightened by the Everlasting Light himself. Find sermons here.

Bulletin inserts

Bulletin inserts for each Sunday in Advent are designed to complement the Journeying the Way of Love Advent curriculum. Available in full page, one-sided and half page, double-sided formats.

Webinars

Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Episcopal Church Office of Government Relations offer a series of three one-hour webinars, Walking in Welcome: An Advent Series with Episcopal Migration Ministries on December 5 at 4 pm Eastern, December 13 at 4 pm Eastern, and December 18 at 12 pm Eastern. Details and registration information here.

Webinars will be available on-demand following the event.
