Remembering The Rev. Benjamin Marie Petit

To start his sabbatical, Bishop Doug Sparks will preach and preside over Mass at the Cathedral of Saint James. As part of the service, we will remember The Rev. Benjamin Marie Petit, a Roman Catholic priest who walked with and ministered to the Potawatomi along the Trail of Death in 1838. Fr. Petit is buried in the Log Chapel at the University of Notre Dame. You can read more about him here.

Eastern Deanery Meeting - Trinity, Fort Wayne

Mark your calendars ... This year's pre-Diocesan Convention meetings will be combined with our post-General Convention 2018 gatherings in order to minimize the number of meetings in the same time window.

Pre-Diocesan Convention items will include: reviewing the 2019 Proposed Financial Statement of Mission (budget), electing one lay person for a Diocesan Council 2-year term, and reviewing proposed Resolutions.

Post-General Convention topics will be discussed with both Lay and Clergy General Convention Deputies in attendance, along with Bishop Doug. Please bring your questions as this will be the time to ask them. We hope to see you there!
