Our 2023 Convention is scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023 at St. Michael and All Angels, South Bend.

The Creation Care theme for this year's convention is in line with the Lambeth Call on Environment and Sustainable Development (available here, page 7, by downloading the Lambeth Calls document). The Rt. Rev. Cathleen Chittenden Bascom, Bishop of Kansas, will join us via Zoom as our keynote presenter, sharing the amazing work she has begun in Kansas.
In alignment with our theme of Creation Care, 31 Red Maple Trees have been purchased and delivered to St. Michael and All Angels. They will be blessed during convention. Each faith community will then be invited to take one tree with them and plant it on the church property (if possible) or an otherwise agreed upon location (as necessary). They should be planted by the end of November for optimal root growth over the winter.
The trees arrived in 5-gallon buckets and are approximately 4-6 feet in height. Please do your best to have one attendee with a vehicle that can bring the tree home. Potentially, the tree might fit on the floor of an SUV, if the bucket can be tilted a bit to not damage the tree top.
Clergy are invited to vest and process for the Eucharist. Festal color is white.
Everyone is encouraged to bring their own beverage cup to reduce waste.
