Canon Carol Bianchini
Missioner for Finance

(she/her/hers)

I have the privilege of being the parish administrator at St. Anne’s Church.  I have worked at St. Anne’s for 23 of the 28 years we have attended. In 2008 Bishop Ed Little asked me to be the Sr. High Diocesan Youth Coordinator, taking a group of teens to the Episcopal Youth Event in San Antonio, TX.  Working with the youth fuels my spiritual life. In August of 2016, Bishop Doug Sparks gave me the opportunity to be a Missioner of Finance for the Diocese. All of these positions bring a great deal of joy into my life.

Fun Facts

Hometown: I grew up in Elkhart Indiana, right down the road from St. John the Evangelist. However, I was Brethren at the time.

Faith Community: I attend St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.  After searching for years for a church that was perfect for us, we found St. Anne’s.

Who does your immediate family consist of?: My husband Scott and I have been married for 36 years. We live in Warsaw, Indiana where we raised our three children. We now have seven grandchildren.  Having grown children means we have a very spoiled dog. Bella is a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback with a lot of personality.

Proudest moment: I have had many proud moments in life.  Being proud of my husband, children or grandchildren for their accomplishments but for me, I have had two; completing the LPM class receiving my diploma from the Canon to the Presiding Bishop.  The other was standing before the congregation at Diocesan Convention and given the title of Canon Carol Bianchini. Both were proud and humbling moments.

Favorite book: I would have to say my favorite book is the bible. When you have the bible as a resource on how to live your life and have Jesus Christ as your tour guide through life, it’s amazing. I am doing a bible study online with several members of my family. We all read the same passages and write our reflections of how it affected us. It is awesome to study the bible with your adult children. What a gift.

Hobbies: I began voice lessons and competing in vocal competitions when I was a teenager. Singing has been a hobby for me since then. I have had the honor to be the Latinist at the Consecration of Bishop Ed Little, Bishop Dan Martins, and Bishop Doug Sparks. Those are the highlights from singing as my favorite hobby.

Most recent purchase?: My husband was hospitalized last week with pneumonia and high blood sugar.  My most recent purchase was going to the grocery store and spending three hours reading the labels to check the carbs and sugar in the food.  So my purchase was a cart full of healthier food.
